Kids Satchels
It’s in the bag!
Staircase House has just launched activity satchels for children!
The satchels are designed to be used by family groups visiting Staircase House, there are a number of satchels so they don’t need to be pre-booked. Every satchel has several pouches each containing an activity for children and their parents/carers to do as they travel through time through the 16 rooms of the beautifully restored town house. The activities relate to specific rooms in the house and the audio guide commentary.
Many of the direction cards are based on ‘Let’s pretend’ activities such as taking tea in the 19 th Century Parlour when drinking tea became very fashionable, or trying on the maids cap and helping with chores in the 17th Century Kitchen.
The activity satchels are available within usual opening hours and best of all they are included in the current admission charges -
so come at no extra cost to you!
