This is your chance to have an exclusive viewing of this fantastic new exhibition and to meet the members of Stockport Heritage Trust, including Coral Dranfield author of 'Rivers Under Your Feet' and one of the leaders of the Underground Stockport research project. Coral and other members of the trust will be happy to answer questions and will be able to provide you with a unique insight into the exhibition.

Join us for a fascinating evening talk from Kevin and Coral Dranfield of the Stockport Heritage Trust. This will provide you with an insight into the world of waterpower and Stockport’s unique underground history from the author of Rivers Under Your Feet. You will also have an opportunity to view the Underground Stockport exhibition, a chance to ask questions, and Coral Dranfield will be signing copies of her book.

AIR RAID SHELTERS TOUR

As part of Underground Stockport take an exclusive Access all Areas tour of the Air Raid Shelters with Shelters tour guides and Kevin Dranfield of Stockport Heritage Trust. Meet at Stockport Story Museum to have a quick look at the exhibition and then go on to Stockport’s unique underground labyrinth to view areas not seen on the public tour.

Price: Adults £4.50, children (under 16’s) and concessions £3.50.

ANIMALS OF THE UNDERGROUND – SILK PAINTING

10am - 12 noon (4 - 7 years)
and 1pm - 3pm (8 - 11 years)

As part of out underground Stockport exhibition come and make magical silk paintings of animals from the underground. Think of rabbits, moles and badgers and create your own unique wall hanging perfect to jazz up your bedroom or as a gift!
