Help us celebrate the launch of Curious Contraptions and the temporary exhibition space in Stockport Story Museum. Celebrity inventor Trevor Baylis - inventor of the clockwork (windup) radio - will officially open the exhibition and there’ll be drinks and nibbles for all. A unique opportunity to put your questions to an inventor who did change the world with his invention.

Maurice Collins, author of ‘Eccentric Contraptions’ and ‘Ingenious Gadgets’, will be taking you through the best of his collection, talking about his experience as a collector and answering your questions. This is a rare opportunity to hear from the man behind this fantastic collection.

Gary Townley from the Government Patent Office in London is coming to give all budding inventors the ‘ABC’ of bringing your invention off the page, having it patented and dealing with trademarks. Gary will be giving advice as well as answering your individual queries.
